Site preparation checklist
The following checklist can help you ensure that your site meets all
requirements to install a storage system. You can make copies of this
checklist for each installation you perform and check each step after it has
been performed. Completing this checklist can help ensure smooth and
efficient installation of a storage system.
Definition of terms
Equipment
The hardware delivered to the customer site that includes the storage
system components. The system may be installed in a Hitachi rack when
delivered or assembled on site. The delivered equipment may include
only the system components if the customer supplies a standard 19-inch
rack. Rack specifications are contained in the Hitachi Universal V2 Rack
Reference Guide, MK-94HM8035.
Location
The specific location in the data center (area or “footprint” on the floor)
where the storage system will be installed.
