5.12 FrostWash
This function suppresses a clog on the heat exchanger.
First, freeze the indoor unit heat exchanger when whole system is under stoppage. Then defrost it to remove
the dust with drain water. Auto-FrostWash and Manual FrostWash are selectable.
NOTES:
•
This function cannot be set when the indoor unit and the outdoor unit do not support this function.
•
When the air conditioner system supports FrostWash function and the function selection F1 of outdoor unit
is set as valid , then the FrostWash is automatically valid.
•
Depending on the outdoor unit, the settings on the outdoor unit may be required.
•
Cracking noise may be heard during freezing or defrosting phase due to temperature change. Refrigerant
recommended to set "Auto-FrostWash Schedule" when room is not occupied.
•
Ice fog may come out from air outlet during FrostWash operation. Ice fog could happen in a humid
•
This function is not available to operate where the outside temperature is lower than 34

F(1°C) or higher

•
The level of dust removed depends on usage environment.

Limitations and settings are required when using this feature in a VRF system. For more information, please

: When the air conditioner system supports FrostWash function and the function selection F1 of
outdoor unit is set as valid, the default setting of the wired controller is valid.

If the Auto-FrostWash is stopped, the total operating time will be reset.
(2) [Function 2] Manual FrostWash
This function is to perform FrostWash at your favorite timing, allows you to perform FrostWash as your
preferred time, such as when you have not used Cooling or another mode for a while.
5.12.2 Advanced Wired Remote Controller Setting Item

This item is selected when performing [Function 2] Manual FrostWash.
Manual FrostWash can be performed even if Auto-FrostWash is enabled.

Enable/Disable Auto-FrostWash (Page 36 )
[Function 1] This is a setting to enable or disable Auto-FrostWash.

"Enable": FrostWash is performed automatically.

"Disable": The function does not work (the default setting).
