Door alarm
If a refrigerator door* is left open for more than 1 minute, the refrigerator will emit a warning sound.
* The alarm works for doors of the refrigerator compartment, ice compartment, and lower freezer compartment. It does not work for the doors of the upper freezer compartment or vegetable compartment.
Triple-power deodorizing function (refrigerator compartment)
Three types of deodorizers help eliminate various odors, including those caused by sulfur, nitrogen, aldehyde, and acid.
You can adjust the volume of the door alarm and control panel, or mute all sounds.
Adjusting the volume of the door alarm and control panel
Standard volume levels are set at the time of purchase.
NOTES
You cannot set separate volume levels for the door alarm
and the control panel.
If the door alarm is turned off, indicators on the control
panel will not blink.
Even if the door alarm is turned off, the alarm for the
ice-maker cleaning function will still work.
If you unplug the power cord or a power outage occurs,
when power is restored, the door alarm and control panel
sounds will be reset to the standard volume level.

Touch on the control panel to activate the control panel.
All indicators will turn on, and then some will turn off to reflect the current settings.
Touch the button for 3 seconds or more until you hear
the preset sound.
Each time you touch the button for 3 seconds, the volume of control panel sounds will change
from standard, to loud, and then to off. Repeat this step until you reach the desired volume level.

Locking the control panel prevents the refrigerator settings from being inadvertently changed.
When the indicator is on, other buttons of the control panel will not activate even if they are touched.
Locking the control panel
NOTES
If you unplug the power cord or a power outage occurs,
when power is restored, the control panel might be
unlocked.
To save energy, the indicator will automatically turn
off after 40 seconds. However, the control panel will remain
locked until you unlock it.

While the indicator lamp is blinking on the display area, the Control Panel remains inactive upon touching. Close the door before starting operation.
Door alarm rings after 30 seconds when the door has been opened only in case the power“ Energy Saving” mode set.
However the indicator blinks after 1 minute of the opening.
