Automatic ice maker
The ice maker is not
working.
It takes a long time to
make ice.
The ice cubes in
the ice container
become small or
stuck together.
Is the water supply tank correctly set in place?
Ensure the water supply tank is pushed all the way in.
Is the “Water” indicator on the control panel on?
The water supply tank needs to be refilled. Refill the water supply
tank.
Is the ice maker’ s “Off” indicator on?
The ice maker is turned off. Set the ice maker to “On” or “Quick” .
Do you open and close refrigerator doors frequently? Did you store a
large amount of food in the refrigerator?
The refrigerator is not cold enough. Until the refrigerator becomes
sufficiently cold, minimize how frequently you open the refrigerator
doors. Leave space between items stored in the refrigerator.
Are ice cubes accumulated in one area of the ice container? Level the ice cubes.
Is any food or items other than ice stored in the ice container?
When the ice maker setting is set to "On" or "Quick", do not store
any food or other items in the ice container.
Is “Energy Saving” mode on? Turn off “Energy Saving” mode.
Have the ice cubes been sitting in the ice container for a long time?
If ice cubes are left unused, they will gradually grow smaller or stick
together. If you can separate the ice cubes by using the ice scoop,
this is not an issue.
Do you open and close refrigerator doors frequently? Did you store a
large amount of food in the refrigerator?
Minimize how frequently you open and close the refrigerator doors
and how long doors remain open.
Were the doors of the refrigerator compartment or any drawers left
open for a period of time?
When you close refrigerator doors or drawers, ensure they close all
the way.
Is the ambient temperature low?
In winter, it might take 4 hours or more to make ice. Minimize how
frequently you open the refrigerator doors.
Is there any food or packaging caught in the doors of the freezer
compartment or ice compartment, preventing them from closing
completely?
Ensure that nothing is caught in the doors and that the doors are
completely closed.
Did you just change the ice maker setting from “Off” to “On” ?
If you’ ve just changed the ice maker setting, it might take some
time before the ice maker is ready to make ice. Minimize how
frequently you open the refrigerator doors.
Is the water in the water supply tank low?
If the water in the water supply tank is low, the ice maker might not
work. Fill the tank to the max fill line.
The ice made by the
ice maker is bumpy.
This is a result of water in the grooves of the ice tray freezing. It does
not indicate any problems in the function of the ice maker.

When the mineral content in water freezes, it might create the
appearance of white particles. However, these particles are not
harmful.
Uneven
refrigerator doors
Was the refrigerator installed on a level surface?
You can use the refrigerator as is. However, if you are bothered by
the unevenness, adjust the left and right adjustable mounts.
Was the refrigerator installed on a soft surface? Has one or more
legs of the refrigerator sunk under the increasing weight of food
stored in the refrigerator?
If the refrigerator is inclines toward one side, place the refrigerator
on top of a sturdy board that is at least 1 cm thick or thicker.
