I tried to change the setting with
the "room temperature" button of
the remote control unit in vain.

You cannot make this setting when the product is in "air
purification" mode. Moreover, you cannot set the product
to a desired setting when quick laundry or dew control is
being performed with the "auto" or "quick
dehumidification" button.
