4.2 Initial Check

Consider the air distribution from the indoor unit
to the space of the room, and select a suitable
location so that uniform air temperature in the
room can be obtained.
Avoid obstacles such as electric light, partition
which may hamper the air inlet or the air outlet
ow.
Check to ensure that the ceiling has a sufcient
strength to hang the indoor unit.
Do not install the indoor unit in a machinery shop
or kitchen where vapor from oil or its mist ows
to the indoor unit.
An oil will deposit on the heat exchanger,
thereby reducing the indoor unit performance
and the plastic parts may deform, and in the
worst case, break due to splash oil at operation.
Avoid the installation place where the indoor unit
may contact high humidity.
The warmed air may stay at the high ceiling
space during the heating operation. Thus, the
parallel installing of a circulator is recommended.
The indoor unit can be installed up to 3.5 meters
(for 1.5 to 3HP) and 4.3 meters (for 4 to 6HP)
from the oor level.
Avoid installing the air conditioning where the
direct airow blows from the air outlet to the
temperature detecting devices such an alarm
device or a control device. It may cause a failure
of an alarm device or a control device.

Check to ensure that the number of below

. Otherwise it may cause
danger situation if the refrigerant in the
Outdoor Unit leaks into the room where this
Indoor Unit is installed.
In detail, refer to the Installation Manual for
outdoor unit.

Make sure that the refrigerant leakage
test should be performed. The refrigerant
(Fluorocarbon R410A) for this unit is
incombustible, non-toxic and odorless.
However if the refrigerant is leaked and is
contacted with re, toxic gas will generate.
Also because the uorocarbon is heavier
than air, the oor surface will be lled with it,
which could cause suffocation.
Install the indoor unit with a proper clearance
around it for operation and maintenance working
space, as shown in Fig. 4.1.
Do not install ammable parts in the service
space for the indoor unit.
Install the indoor unit higher than 2.4 meters
from the oor level.
NOTE:
If there is a cornice on the ceiling, measure the dimension from the front or undersurface.
