The HME NEXEO | HDX™ All-in-One Headset is a sophisticated communication device designed for hospitality and specialty environments, aiming to enhance interaction between crew members and customers. More than just a headset, it integrates advanced audio technology and an interactive base station display to streamline operations.
Function Description:
The NEXEO | HDX Platform facilitates group conversations among crew members, provides an interactive display on the Base Station for managing operations, and delivers high-quality HDX audio for clear communication. It is designed to change the way crews interact, offering features that go beyond traditional headset functionalities.
Usage Features:
Pairing Process:
- Preparation: Before pairing, ensure the headset battery is fully charged.
- Power On: Turn on the headset by pressing the blue button located on the touch panel.
- Locate Pairing Area: The headset's Pairing Area is situated between the volume up and down buttons in the center of the touch panel.
- Base Station Pairing Ring: The Base Station has a Pairing Ring in its bottom right corner, which illuminates with a solid blue ring when idle.
- Initiate Pairing: Bring the headset's Pairing Area close to the Base Station's Pairing Ring.
- Pairing Indication: The solid blue ring on the Base Station will transform into a swirling green ring, indicating that the pairing process is active.
- Successful Pairing: Pairing is confirmed when the swirling green ring turns solid green.
- Handling After Pairing: Once paired, hold the headset by its outer edge to prevent accidental taps on the interface.
- Pairing Failure: If pairing fails, the ring on the Base Station will turn red. In this case, try again by holding the headset's Pairing Area steadily, centered, and flush against the Pairing Ring. Avoid headset movement or distance issues, as these can cause pairing errors.
Selecting Your Position:
After successful pairing, the "Select Your Position" screen appears on the Base Station display. Users can choose from several roles:
- DRIVE-THRU 1: Allows communication for Lane 1 of the drive-thru.
- DRIVE-THRU 2: Allows communication for Lane 2 of the drive-thru.
- CREW: Enables communication with all members in the Crew Group and team members in the Drive-Thru Group.
- Note: Crew positions will not hear drive-thru orders. If duties require hearing customer interactions in the drive-thru, a Drive-Thru communications group must be selected.
- FRONT COUNTER: Communicates with and receives reminders and alerts exclusively for the Front Counter Group.
After selecting a position, tap the "Next" button. A "Success!" confirmation will display, indicating the headset is ready for use, especially for Crew and Front Counter positions.
Auto Hands-Free Mode:
This mode is available when selecting Drive Thru 1 or Drive Thru 2 positions. It allows order-takers to operate hands-free without pressing the lane button when a car arrives at the menu.
- Enable: Tap the checkbox to activate AUTO HANDS-FREE mode.
- Automatic Activation: When a car approaches the menu, the headset automatically activates the corresponding lane button (1 or 2 on the headset interface).
- Automatic Disconnection: After the customer completes their order and drives away, the headset automatically disconnects the lane button until the next car arrives.
- Note: Only one headset per lane can operate in Auto Hands-Free mode, with a maximum of two headsets per store (one for Lane 1 and one for Lane 2).
