Step 2: Anchor the outdoor unit.
The outdoor unit can be anchored to the ground or to a wall-mounted base pad with bolt (M10).
Prepare the base pad referring to the graphics below and the mounting dimensions in the table on
the next page.

If you install the unit on the ground or on a concrete
mounting platform, perform the following steps:
1. Mark the positions for four expansion bolts
based on the dimensions chart.
2. Pre-drill the holes for the expansion bolts.
3. Place a nut at the end of each expansion bolt.
4. Hammer expansion bolts into the
pre-drilled holes.
5. Remove the nuts from the expansion bolts.
Place the outdoor unit on the bolts.
6. Put a washer on each expansion bolt. Replace
the nuts.

WARNING

RECOMMENDED AT ALL TIMES.
If you install the unit on a wall-mounted base pad,
perform the following steps:
WARNING
Make sure that the wall is made of solid brick,
concrete, or similarly strong building material. The
wall must be able to support at least four times the
weight of the unit.
1. Mark the positions for the holes on the wall
based on the dimensions chart.
2. Pre-drill the holes for the expansion bolts.
3. Place a washer and a nut at the end of each
expansion bolt.
4. Thread expansion bolts through the holes on
the base pad, put the base pad on the wall, then
hammer the expansion bolts into the wall.
5. Check that the base pad are leveled.
6. Carefully lift the outdoor unit and place its
mounting feet on the base pad.
7. 
8. If allowed, install the outdoor unit with rubber
gaskets to reduce vibrations and noise.
