Replacing the 2020 Interface Cable:
1. Turn the power to the host system
OFF.
2. Disconnect the base’s cable from the
terminal or computer.
3. Turn the base upside down.
4. Pull the connector out while
maintaining pressure on the
connector release clip.
5. Replace with the new cable.
Insert the connector into the opening
and press firmly. The connector is
keyed to go in only one way, and will
click into place.
Changing the Image
Scanner Battery:
1. Remove the screw on the end
cap. (For a 4820, use a Phil-
lips screwdriver. For a 4820i,
loosen the thumbwheel screw
by hand, or use a flat screw-
driver or hex wrench.)
2. Remove the battery from the
handle.
3. Insert replacement battery.
4. Replace end cap and screw.
