5.10. Setting the Daily Defrost Cycles on the Real Time Clock
It is possible to set-up 4 defrost cycles per day on Icon models: ICON-111SR,
ICON-112SR & ICON-132SR.
The time parameters regarding this function are d30, d31, d32 & d33 (See Section
6, Table 2).
Notes:
1. In order to activate a defrost cycle it is necessary to set the defrost cycle
starting time in at least one of the parameters (d30…d33)
2. To be recognized as valid, the time must between the values of 001 and 235
(00:10…23:50 hrs) where first two numbers are the hour (00…23) and last
number is minutes in multiples of 10 (0...50).
3. Any other value will not be accepted, and will be interpreted by Icon as being
a non-valid setting and therefore not associated to any defrost cycle.
4. If you input the value 000 (00:00) midnight to parameters d30, d31, d32 & d33,
this DISABLES the defrosting real-time clock.
Procedure:
1. Depress SET key for 10 seconds to activate parameter menu.
2. Scroll to parameter d30 and enter time value
3. Press SET key, the time value will blink for 5 secs. Icon will then
automatically go to parameter d31, (2
nd
defrost time parameter)
4. Continue to set time parameters d31, d32 and d33, as required.
5. Wait for Icon to time-out of parameter setting mode (20 secs.).
Important:
With regard to parameter d8, (time interval between defrost cycles), please
remember that the value set in said parameter (d8) must be greater than the
maximum set interval between two defrost cycles start times set in parameters
d30…d33. (Not applicable to Icon ‘S’ models.)
Example:
d30 = 050 (05:00) d31 = 113 (11:30);
d32 = 153 (15:30) d33 = 235 (23:50)
Therefore: d8 > 18 hours 50 mins.
