10.C. KHF 1050 Maintenance Software
10.C.(1) General
The KHF 1050 Maintenance Software (PN 222-30144-0000) is available as a
tool to assist the installer and maintenance shop personnel. This program
installs on a personal computer (PC) and is intended to serve several functions:
• As an aid in setting up installation-related setup parameters in the KRX 1053
Receiver/Exciter. The maintenance program information contained in this
manual primarily deals with this aspect of the software.
• For evaluating the contents of the fault memories in the KRX 1053 and KAC
1052 units.
• For checking the revision level of the software in the KAC 1052 or KRX
1053.
• To measure the pressure in the KAC 1052 Antenna Coupler.
10.C.(2) Installation Setup Parameters
Four software adjustable parameters of the KRX 1053 are available for setup
by the installer:
• Stuck MIC Time
• Beep Control
• Sidetone Level
• Squelch Type
More complete information on these setup parameters are described in
Paragraph “10.C.(6) Installation Setup” . To utilize these setup parameters, the
PC must be connected to the KRX 1053.
10.C.(3) BITE Information
The maintenance data collection features of the KHF 1050 System include the
following three types of Built In Test (BITE) monitoring:
• Power-On
• Pilot-Initiated
• Continuous Monitoring
Various parameters are monitored with each of the above BITE types. When
failures are detected, these failures are stored in a fault memory and can be
retrieved for maintenance purposes. Refer to the HELP files associated with the
KHF 1050 Maintenance Program for more information.
