Antenna Matching
Capability:
Wire Antenna: 10 to 25 feet grounded (55,000 feet maximum altitude).
25 to 30 feet may be grounded or ungrounded. If ungrounded,
30,000 feet max altitude.
30 to 75 feet ungrounded (30,000 feet maximum altitude)
Shunt Antenna Typically leading edges of the vertical stabilizer 10 feet or
longer.
Internal Protection: High SWR due to change in antenna impedance will force a
retune. An internal bleeder resistor provides a static discharge
path to ground.
Should the coupler not be able to tune the antenna at a given
frequency, a tune fault will result after the coupler has
attempted different network configurations to tune the antenna.
TSO: Compliant to DO-163, DO-178B Level C, E/TSO-C31d and
E/TSO-C32d.
