Average life 2-4 year, depending on the working
environment. In the case of areas “dirty”, with
presence of pollutant or poisoning substance, the
working life of detector is reduced.

NOTE - Nella realizzazione di un nuovo impianto, i
rilevatori devono essere installati il più tardi possibile per
prevenire il loro danneggiamento dovuto alle attività
tipiche da cantiere. Tuttavia l’installazione deve essere
completata nell’ambiente da proteggere, prima
dell’introduzione di qualsiasi gas,vapore infiammabile o
tossico. I rilevatori montati in posizioni in cui possono
essere esposti a danni meccanici devono essere
adeguatamente protetti. I rilevatori non devono essere
esposti a sostanze contaminanti che potrebbero influire
negativamente sul loro funzionamento (ad esempio i
siliconi danneggiano i sensori catalitici). La pratica di
lavaggio di impianti con acqua in pressione può
provocare una seria degradazione dei rilevatori gas di
tipo non adeguato e deve essere evitata nelle zone dove
questi sono collocati. (EN60079-10 / CEI 31-35)
NOTE - In a new building construction, the detectors
must be installed as late as possible to prevent their
being damaged due to typical construction activities.
However, the installation must be completed before
introduce any gas, flammable or toxic vapor, to protect
the environment. Detectors exposed to mechanical
damage shall be adequately protected. The detectors
should not be exposed to contaminants that may
adversely affect their operation (such as silicones
damage catalytic sensors).
Wash the systems with water under pressure can cause
serious degradation of gas detectors not suitable and
must be avoided the washing with water under pressure
in the areas where these are placed. (EN60079-10 /

ANUTENZIONE - Le verifiche periodiche del sistema
di rilevazione gas costituiscono un fattore estremamente
importante che influisce sulla sua affidabilità. Una
prestazione ottimale del sistema ed un funzionamento
sicuro saranno raggiunti solo attraverso un adeguato
programma di verifiche. Quando il sistema di rilevazione
gas o una parte di esso non è operativo durante la
verifica o la taratura, è fondamentale mantenere la
sicurezza dell’ambiente. I sistemi di controllo devono
essere frequentemente verificati da personale qualificato.
Le verifiche devono essere in accordo con le istruzioni e
le modalità stabilite dal costruttore. Le verifiche devono
essere annotate su un’apposito registro, indicandone la

The periodic test of the gas
detection system are an extremely important factor that
influence its reliability. An optimal system performance
and safe operation will be achieved only through an
adequate schedule of tests. When the gas detection
system or an a part is inoperative during the test or
calibration, it is essential to maintain a safe
environment. The control systems must be frequently
checked by qualified personnel. The checks must be in
accordance with the instructions and procedures
established by the manufacturer. The checks must be
registered in a dedicated register, indicating the date.
