Why won't my Hoover Vacuum Cleaner pick up?

If your Hoover Vacuum Cleaner isn't picking up dirt, several factors could be responsible. First, ensure the brush roll is in the ON position. Check for a broken or worn belt, and replace it if necessary. A worn agitator brush roll should also be replaced. Empty the dirt cup if it's full. Adjust the nozzle control knob to a lower setting for the correct carpet height. Clear any blockages in the air flow passage. Clean the HEPA cartridge filter and pre-filter. Make sure the dirt cup is properly installed and latched, and that the dirt cup lid is correctly positioned.
