Why won't my Hoover UH70400 turn on?

Your Hoover Vacuum Cleaner might not be running due to several reasons: the power cord may not be firmly plugged into the outlet (ensure it's plugged in tightly); a fuse might be blown or a breaker tripped (check and replace the fuse or reset the breaker); the thermal protector may have activated (unplug the vacuum and allow it to cool for 30 minutes to reset it); or the automatic brushroll shut-off may be engaged (press the brushroll reset button).
