Verifying Swap Space
When
you continue from
the
Main Menu, you see
the
following menu:
Swap
space
verification
The
current
swap
space
is
xxxxx
blocks

block

bytes)

Swap space
is
space on
the
disk
that
is reserved for
operating
system
use.
The
swap space,
together
with
file
system space, make
up
the
disk capacity. Thus,
if you increase your swap space, you decrease your file system space
(and
vice
versa).
With
the
7.0 release, you can easily add swap space
any
time
after the
installation
(see
the
System
Administration
Tasks Manual); however, if you
allocate more swap space now, you
cannot
easily deallocate
that
extra
swap
later,
and
use
it
for file system space.
In
most cases,
then,
the
default value
(xxxxx)
is
adequate-simply
enter
