3. Thoroughly clean thermal material from the surfaces of the system board component (1) and the heat
sink (2) each time you remove the heat sink. Apply thermal grease to the surfaces of these components.
All heat sink and system board spare part kits include thermal material.
Reverse this procedure to install the heat sink.
