The Trig Explorer Aplet
Similar in concept to the Quadratic Explorer, the Trig Explorer Aplet is a micro-environment for exploring the relationship between the values of parame-
ters in sine or cosine equations and the shape of their graphs. The forms of the sinusoidal equations used are:
Press APLET, scroll to the Trig Explorer Aplet, and press the START menu key to get started. Table 1-13 summarizes the Aplet's functionality. The Aplet opens
in the Plot view.
The menu contains the following items:
• HARD: choose a difficult problem
• EASY: choose an easy problem
• LEVEL: choose a type of quadratic equation (see LEVEL in Plot view above)
• CHECK: checks your current response
• ANSW: give up and view the correct response
• END: return to the Plot view
