Before removing thesystem board, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 30).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover and rubber feet on page 30).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 32).
4. Remove the solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 35).
5. Remove the memory modules (see Memory modules on page 33).
6. Remove the WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 36).
7. Remove the fan (see Fan on page 42).
NOTE: You do not have to remove the heat sink to remove the system board.
Remove the system board:
1. Disconnect the following cables from the system board:
● Power connector cable (1)
● Left fan cable (2)
● Display cable (ZIF) (3)
● Speaker cable (4)
● Keyboard cable (ZIF) (5)
● Backlight cable (ZIF) (6) (select products only)
● Touchpad board (ZIF) (7)
● Hard drive cable (ZIF) (8)
