INTRODUCTION
The 8662A Option H17 Synthesized Signal Generator has been modified to allow External
Amplitude Modulation at carrier frequencies of less than 150 kHz. This Special AM Mode may be
selected via the front panel or HP-IB. Internal battery-powered memory will retain the last mode
selected even if line power is removed. Option HI7 also changes the Auxiliary FM feature so that it
cannot be controlled by Special Functions. The addition of Option H17 affects carrier output level
accuracy below 150 kHz.
