The
9895A
will
return
a
code
unique
to
the
disc
subsystem
to
allow for
auto-configuration
of systems.
Upon
the
reception
of
the
untalk
primary
followed
by
the
secondary
corresponding
to
the
9895A's
current
HP-IB
address,
the
9895A's
PHI will
respond
by
sending
the
ID
bytes
of a
and
81
hex,
the
second
byte
being
tagged
with
an
EO!.
These
two
bytes
will
continue
to
be
sent
until
another
command
is
transmitted
on
the
bus.

The
9895A
returns
a
byte
indicating if
the
last
operation
completed
normally
or
abnormally,
or
if
the
power
to
the
9895A
has
just
been
restored,
or
if
a parity
error
has
been
detected
on
the
HP-IB.
The
DSJ
command
also
provides
a
way
to
disable
the
9895A's
parallel poll
response.
After
accepting
the
DSJ
secondary,
the
9895A
disables
its
parallel poll
response
(usually within
100
microseconds)
and
returns
a
byte
(the
DSJ
byte) reflecting
the
status
of
the
controller.

The
9895A
completed
its last
operation
nor-
mally.
DSJ
= 1 -
The
9895A
aborted
its last
operation
abnor-
mally.
Status
will
indicate
the
current
error.
DSJ
= 2 -
The
9895A
has
just
completed
a
power
up
se-
quence
and
is
in
the
DSJ
= 2 holdoff
state.
DSJ
= 3 - A
parity
error
has
occurred
on
the
HP-IB.
Repeat
the
request
to
receive
the
pre-parity
error
DSJ.
