Install and cable the I/O drawer
Next we will install the I/O drawer. We will then connect and route one or more I/O cables,
used to connect the I/O risers in the I/O drawer to the corresponding CPU drawer(s). Then,
we will connect and route the Ethernet, ground, and power cables. After replacing the side
panel, we will set the drawer ID and power up.
• Install the inner slides
• Determine hole locations for installation
• Loosely attach outer slides
• Attach cable retainer and grommet
• Install the I/O drawer
• Install the cable support rack and the drawer latches
• Attach cable guides
• Attach cable support bracket on rear door
• Identify I/O Connector on CPU drawer
• Connect I/O cable(s) to CPU drawer(s)
• Route the I/O cable(s)
• Connect I/O cable(s) to I/O drawer
• Connect Ethernet, ground, and power cables
• Replace the side panel
• Set the drawer ID
• Restore power
