HP Insight Control suite delivers essential infrastructure management, including remote monitoring,
hardware resource deployment, health monitoring, software version control, performance monitoring,
vulnerability scanning and patch management, and power management.
HP Insight Control suite installs and licenses the following components by default using a wizard-based
integrated installer:
HP Systems Insight Manager (SIM)
HP iLO Advanced Pack
HP Insight Rapid Deployment software (RDP)
HP Insight Power Manager (IPM)
HP Insight Performance Manager module (PMP)
HP Insight Vulnerability and Patch Manager module (VPM)
HP Insight Virtual Machine Manager software for ProLiant (VMM)
Additional Insight software and management tools included on the Insight Software media kit can be
installed manually
HP Insight Server Migration software for ProLiant (SMP)

As of Feb. 1, 2009, HP iLO Power Management Pack is being discontinued. Customers can
either purchase HP Insight Control suite which contains all the components of IPMP or the standalone
components which include iLO Advanced, Insight Power Manager software and Systems Insight
Manager.

monitoring, and management for Linux-based ProLiant server platforms. Built on the industry-leading HP
Systems Insight Manager framework, this solution integrates open source technology with experience
leveraged from HP's Linux products in HP ICLE and HP XC Clusters, while providing paths to the future
with developing management technologies.
HP Insight Control suite and most Insight software products include one year of 24 x 7 HP Software
Technical Support and Update Service ensuring rapid access to HP support staff and proactive delivery
