Remove the M.2 2280 SSD from models with a metal bottom cover:
1. Peel back the plastic SSD cover (1).
2. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screw (2) from the drive, and then pull the drive (3) out of the socket.
To install a solid-state drive, reverse the removal procedures.
NOTE: Solid-state drives are designed with a notch to prevent incorrect insertion.
