1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 39).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 39).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 49).
Remove the NFC module:
1. Disconnect the antenna cable from the ZIF connector on the NFC module (1).
2. Disconnect the system board cable from the ZIF connector on the NFC module (2).
3. Use a tool to release the module from the computer (3). The NFC module is secured with adhesive.
4. Remove the NFC module from the computer (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the NFC module.
Fan
To remove the fan, use this procedure and illustration.

Before removing the fan, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 39).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 39).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 49).
Remove the fan assembly:
1. Remove display cable from the clips on the fan (1).
2. Remove the three Phillips 2.0 × 4.0 screws (2) that secure the fan to the computer.
