4. Check that a valid Server has been found. If it is detected automatically, the Client will show the Server IP
address directly. The Client is connected automatically to the autodetected Server if there is only one.
Otherwise, select the desired Server. You can save autodetected Servers by clicking the icon, adding to
the favorites.
If the Server does not appear automatically, you can add it manually with the Add server option. Include the
Server computer’s IP address and port. This is the information that was shown in the pop- up when you
clicked the taskbar icon of the Server. The IP address and the port number are also displayed in the tray
icon.
IMPORTANT: HP strongly recommends conguring a hostname or static IP address rather than a DHCP
address for the Server computer, to allow Clients to nd the Server reliably. IP addresses can change in
DHCP environments.
If you decided to test by installing the Client in the same computer as the Server, you are still encouraged
to use the server’s hostname or IP address instead of localhost or 127.0.0.1. Select the Server and connect
to it by clicking the Connect icon.
5. Open the Command Center Client and click the icon in the top right corner, then click Network
connectivity. Connect to your server. Click the icon in the top right corner to check for connectivity
issues.
If you have connectivity issues, try to x them, using the document explained before.
