2. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 screw (2) that secures the fingerprint reader bracket to the
computer, and then remove the bracket (3).
3. Remove the fingerprint reader board from the computer (4).
To install the fingerprint reader board, reverse this procedure.
Heat sink
To remove the heat sink, use these procedures and illustrations.

Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 37).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 37).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 46).
Remove the heat sink:
1. (UMA models) In the order indicated on the heat sink, loosen the four captive Phillips screws (1) that
secure the heat sink to the computer.
