System board
NOTE: The system board spare park kit includes replacement thermal material.
Follow these steps to remove the system board:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 28).
2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 29), and then remove the following components:
a. Front bezel (see Front bezel on page 31)
b. WLAN module (see {Xref Error! Target does not exist.} )
c. Solid-state drive (see {Xref Error! Target does not exist.} )
d. Drive cage (see Drive cage on page 34)
e. Shroud (see Fan shroud on page 38)
f. Fan-sink (see Fan-sink on page 39)
NOTE: When replacing the system board, be sure that the processor (see Processor on page 40) and
connector board (see Connector board on page 46) are removed from the defective system board and
installed on the replacement system board.
3. Disconnect the following cables from the system board:
(1) Speaker cable
(2) Power supply P1 cable
(3) Power supply P2 cable
(4) Serial connector module cable
