Install the drive in the carrier.
6. Install the drive.
7. Connect each power cord to the server.
8. Connect each power cord to the power source.
9. Power up the server (on page 17).
10. Determine the status of the drive from the drive LED definitions (on page 13).
Installing a hot-plug drive
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless
all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.
