Identify Special Network Requirements
rp7400 servers may require as many as three unique IP addresses.
• The rp7400 server requires it own IP address.
• The Guardian Service Processor, as a separate network device, has to have its own IP address, gateway,
and subnet mask configured at the site in order to be separately addressed. The service processor does not
support DHCP, so the IP address must be assigned out of a separate pool from any that are assigned
dynamically.
• The remote web console, if used, requires it own IP address.
