4. Remove the bottom cover (2).
NOTE: The thermal material must be thoroughly cleaned from the surfaces of the solid-state drive and
the bottom cover each time the bottom cover is removed. Replacement thermal material is included with
the bottom cover and solid-state drive spare part kits.
Replacement thermal material is used on the solid-state drive (1) and the bottom cover section (2) that
services it.
Reverse this procedure to install the bottom cover.
