To resolve a timeout error during a pair create or resync operation on your HP Storage system, first, if a SIM was generated due to a hardware failure, contact HP Technical Support and retry the operation after the issue is resolved. If no SIM was generated, wait 5-6 minutes and check the pair status. If the status changed correctly, the operation completed after the timeout. If the status didn't change, retry the operation during a lighter workload.
