The fan is located in the middle of the computer. It is secured with 3 screws.

To remove the fan:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see
Preparing to Disassemble the Computer
on page 40).
2. Remove the rear cover (see
Rear Cover on page 41).
3. Remove the system board cover (see
System Board Cover on page 60).
4. Remove the 3 Torx screws (1) that secure the fan to the computer.
5. Disconnect the fan cable (2) from the system board connector.
