3.1 Checking the Environment of the Equipment Room
This section describes the environment standard of the equipment room.
Reference Standard
The carrier-class devices have high requirements on the running environment. They are usually
installed in the special equipment room and equipped with the special air conditioner and the
redundant power supply system. The environment standards are shown in Table 3-1.

Procedure
l Measure the ambient temperature and humidity in the equipment room with the
hygrothermograph.
l Check that the power supply for the equipment room is from two independent lines and the
voltage is in the normal range. (In the equipment room, the AC voltage ranges from 100 V
to 127 V or from 200 V to 240 V, and the DC voltage ranges from –36 V to –76 V.)

Exception Handling
l Adjust the temperature and humidity through the air conditioner as required.
l Lay out two independent power supply lines and equip a transformer with sufficient
capacity.
