3.4 Connecting Power Cables
Connect power cables to the UPS after switching off circuit breakers and securing the UPS.
Reverse battery connection will cause short circuits.
Connect power cables to the UPS in the following sequence:
Connect cables to the AC input socket first, then the AC output socket, and finally batteries.
The AC input socket provides a port for connecting to the ground cable.
To connect power cables, perform the following steps:
Step 1 Switch off the three circuit breakers that respectively control batteries, loads, and AC inputs.
Step 2 Connect one connector of the AC input power cable to AC input socket on UPS. Keep the other
connector of the AC input power cable disconnected with the power grid.
Step 3 Connect the AC output power cable to loads.
On the UPS, a 25 A breaker is required for controlling the AC input.
Step 4 Remove the protective cover from the terminal, and route the positive and negative battery
cables through the two cable holes at the bottom of the protective cover.
Step 5 Connect cables to batteries.
Figure 3-5 shows power cable connections for the UPS.
