3.5 Connecting Communications Cables
Connecting a Communications Cable to an RS232 Port
Step 1 Connect one end of the NetEco Express (RS232) cable to the serial port on the UPS.
Step 2 Connect the other end of the NetEco Express (RS232) cable to the RS232 port on the
monitoring personal computer (PC).
Figure 3-6 shows how to connect a communications cable to an RS232 port.

Pins on an RS232 port are identified uniquely. For details, see Figure 3-7 and Table 3-2.
