6-7. Tip initiation
[Note]
Before using the device, the Tip initiation is required for majority of the procedures once. However, you can
bypass this operation if it is already done or not required.
Caution
Use gauze moistened with water to clean the Tip.
Do not use flammable materials when cleaning a hot Tip.
1.
Touch the Tip to the surface of the Tip initiation tool, without firing.
2.
Pull the Tip out when the metal cannula touches the initiation tool, still firing until just before the
tip is out of the initiation tool.
3.
Fire the laser into the air once. You will see a white flash or a glowing Tip. A glowing Tip
indicates that the Tip is ready for use. If the Tip lose its initiation during this procedure, repeat
this procedure if necessary.
4.
When finished this procedure, you are ready to use this device on the patient. Press the down
switch to move to the main screen while keeping the system in ready mode.
