6.8 Resistance test - stop function

Remove the starter, see “Dismantling the starter”.

Remove the cover A (see fi
gure 24) by loosening
the two screws. Bend up the yellow cover paper C
to be able to reach screw D for testing (see fi gure
25).
Clean the contact area and check the resistance
as follows:
Test the resistance by connecting a multimeter to
the ignition coil. NOTE! The power switch must be
in the “on” position to get the correct reading (see
fi gure 26).
The resistance must not exceed 0.5 Ohm with the
power switch in the “on” position.
