Mode Description Operation
Conventional Mode
On an analog channel, you can initiate a call to
a 2-tone contact.
Through Numeric Keypad
1.
Go to Menu > Settings >
Basic
Settings > Keypad Mode
,
select One Touch Call/Menu
,
and then press the OK/Menu
key.

On the home screen, press the
numeri
c key to initiate the
service.
Press the preprogrammed

Touch Call/Menu
key to initiate the
service.
To initiate a call on a digital
channel, you must press and hold
the PTT key after pressing the One
Touch Call/Menu key.
On a digital channel, you can do one
of the
following:
Initiate a group, private, or all call.
Send a quick text message or position
message to a private or group contact.
Initiate an alert call, radio check, remote
monitor, revive, or kill service.
Switch to a function menu or realize a
function.
Trunking Mode
Initiate a group, private, all
, broadcast, or
emergency call.
Send a quick text, status, or user-defined
message.
Switch to a function menu or realize a
function.
8.8 Quick Dial
On the home screen, the Quick Dial feature allows you to enable or disable a feature or switch to a function menu
by manual dialing. This feature is available only when the keypad input is enabled.
