Installing a drive in Bay 2
Before you install a drive in bay 2, note the following:
You can install either a 5.25-inch drive or a 3.5-inch drive in this bay. If you
intend to install a 3.5-inch drive in this bay, you must first purchase a
commercially-available 3.5-inch to 5.25-inch installation kit. Then, use the
instructions provided with the installation kit to mount the drive to the kit
hardware.
If you are installing an IDE drive, refer to the instructions provided with the drive
to set the jumper on the drive to the slave position.
To install the drive in Bay 2, do the following:
1. Open the drive-access door. Put your index finger against the left edge of the
bay panel, apply pressure toward the right, then pivot the bay panel forward
and remove it. If you have difficulty positioning your finger against the left
edge of the bay panel, slightly close the drive-access door to give you better
access. Keep the bay panel.
