Chapter 2. Features and Functions of the 3174 Controller
This chapter describes the abilities of the IBM 3174 Establishment Controller. It
explains
the features and the basic tasks that these features enable the user to
perform.
Different
models of 3174 controller support different feature combinations. "Table
of Features Supported by Each 3174 Controller" on page A-6 lists the possible
feature support provided by each controller model.
Some of the features and functions that IBM supports may not be apparent to the
user. This chapter discusses
only those that are apparent.
The 3174

Some of the features and functions are dependent upon the microcode
configuration type. For lists of the specific features and functions offered by each
