Preface
The Guide to Operations manual provides you with the
necessary information to install and operate your IDM
Portable Personal Computer, and describes how
to
diagnose and correct any problems that may occur.
This manual is divided into six sections. External tabs
help you find the section you want. A description of
each section follows.
Section 1, "Introduction
I Installation," provides a
brief description of the system unit, keyboard, and
display. System setup, cabling, and the power-on self
test are explained in detail.
Section 2, "Problem Determination Procedures, "
provides step-by-step instructions
to
assist you in
isolating problems
that
may occur.
Section 3, "Operating Your IDM Portable Personal
Computer," describes the location and operation of the
power switches, diskette drive, and display adjustments.
Section 4, "Option Installation," contains a cover
removal and replacement procedure that is used with
the option instructions that come with options you
purchase for your IDM Portable Personal Computer.
This section has an area for keeping these installation
instructions.
It
also has the switch setting charts for the
system board, extender card, and memory options.
