Removing a riser card assembly
To remove a riser assembly, complete the following steps.

1. Read the safety information that begins on page vii and “Installation guidelines”
on page 95.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords; then,
remove the cover (see “Removing the cover” on page 98).
3. If an adapter is installed in the riser card assembly, disconnect any cables
connected to the adapter.
4. Grasp the riser-card assembly at the rear edge and lift to remove the riser-card
assembly.
5. Remove the adapter, if one is present, from the riser card assembly.
6. If you are instructed to return the riser card assembly, follow all packaging
instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to
you.
