IBM System x3650 M4 HD server supports 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch drives. The server supports the following
drive configurations:
16x 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays (front of server)

16x 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays (front) + 2x 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays (rear)

24x 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays (front)

24x 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays (front) + 2x 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays (rear)

16x 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays (front) + 16x 1.8-inch hot-swap drive bays (front)

Note: The combination of 16x 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays (front) + 16x 1.8-inch hot-swap drive bays
(front) + 2x 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays (rear) is not supported.
