Electrical connection
Operation of the pump is prohibited if the insulation of the power cable or the oat
switch cable is damaged. If this is the case, contact the guarantee company to have
the cable replaced. Mechanical damage is not subject to free of charge warranty re-
pairs. Operating the pump with damaged cable insulation will result at best in water
damage to the motor and at worst may cause an electrical shock
Before starting the pump, it is essential to check the voltage at the end of the cable.
Note that as the length of the cable increases, the supply voltage at the end of the
cable decreases. The permissible voltage drops for the motors used are ±6%.
In order to protect against excessive voltage drop, the correct choice of cable must
be observed, depending on the type of power supply (single or three-phase), motor
power and cable length. Below is a table to help you make the right choice of cable:
Failure to comply with the above recommendations for cable selection will lead to
Maximum permissible cable length for a given wire diameter of
the supply cable
