Procedure no. 7 Replacement of Ø160 hydraulic cylinder.
Installing the new hydraulic cylinder
Hoist the new cylinder in and place it a bit from the center plate. Mount the spring loaded
gasket, and the 4 spacers. Tighten nuts on the rods loose, and make sure that the cylinder
is level and in line with the extruder cylinder. Fit the piston and the linear encoder on the
new cylinder.
If necessary replace the piston ring before installing, the screws [11] have to be lubricated
and then tightened equally and with torque 21.4 Nm. Reassemble the machine and tighten
the nuts [16] to 571 Nm. To check if the hydraulic cylinder is installed correctly, drive the
piston all the way forward. With little force it should be possible to turn the piston in this
position.
