3.13 SPARK GENERATOR REPLACEMENT
3.14 GAS CONTROL VALVE REPLACEMENT
1. Refer to Section 3.8.
2. Unplug the electrical lead connection
from the gas control valve and
disconnect the earth wire.
3. Remove the outlet gas valve clip and
slide the pipe upwards.
4. Undo the gas inlet pipe union at the
inlet to the gas control valve.
5. Undo the single screw xing the gas
valve to the mounting bracket and
withdraw the valve forwards. To gain
access, temporarily move the seal.
6. Fit the new gas control valve, ensuring
that the ‘o’ ring and sealing washer
are in place. Replace screw and re-
connect gas and electrical connections.
Ensure sealing washer is fully
located.
7. Ensure all gas valve connections are
gas tight with a gas soundness check
up to the gas control valve.
8. Check operation of the boiler. Refer to
Sections 2.24 & 2.25.
1. Refer to Section 3.8.
2. Disconnect the leads from the spark
generator.
3. Pull the spark generator to unclip
from the mounting bracket.
4. Fit the new spark generator and re-
assemble in reverse order ensuring
that the the earth lead is replaced.
5. Check operation of the boiler. Refer
to Sections 2.24 & 2.25.
