If your IDEAL Air Cleaner isn't turning on, ensure the power cable is securely connected to the back of the device and that the cable isn't damaged. Also, check that both ends of the power cable are properly plugged in. Verify that an original IDEAL filter cartridge is correctly inserted and clicked into place with all 3 tabs fully locked.

Why is automatic mode not working properly on my IDEAL AP140 PRO Air Cleaner?

      Angela Patterson MDAug 19, 2025
If the automatic mode on your IDEAL Air Cleaner isn't functioning correctly, first wait until the calibration process is complete, which may take a few minutes. If the issue persists, the air quality sensor may be dirty. Clean the openings for the air quality sensor and dust sensor, as well as the air intake ducts and the interior of the air purifier where the filter cartridge is located, using a vacuum cleaner. If the air quality sensor is still not detecting air quality reliably, try calibrating it by briefly disconnecting the unit from the mains.

If that doesn't work, unplug the power cable and then plug it back in. Check the battery in the remote control (3V lithium CR2025). Clean the IR receiver with a dry, lint-free cloth and ensure you are pointing the remote control at the air purifier. Note that after joining the power cord or exchanging the filter, the function of the remote control is blocked for about 10 seconds.
