6.2 General settings

In the "General settings" area, you can assign a descriptive name for the device, enter the installation location

for identification, or change the avatar image.

Device name and location

For the device name and the installation location, a name with a maximum of 32 characters can be assigned.

Avatar image

The following specifications apply to the avatar image:

Image size: 256 x 256 pixels

Image format: JPEG, GIF, BMP or PNG

Support file

Here, you can download a support file as an archive (*.tar.gz) to attach it to your support request.

Date/Time

Under "Date/Time", you can set the time zone, date and time. Alternatively, you can specify an NTP time

server for time synchronization.

If you click on "Use local time", the time of IDS NXT is synchronized with the PC time. The

time zone is not set, so that the device time differs from the PC time if different time zones

are set on the PC and the device.
