7 Operation
7.1 Security features
The filter engine comes equipped with the following security features:
Use of a security switch (category 1) for a secure switching off of the primary voltage
of high voltage transformer,
use of a closed case with safety class 1 (connection according to DIN VDE 0100 T.
410/11.83) and
Warning signs at the case.
Following the endangerment analysis of dangers of the motor the following features are
intended to minimise the endangerment.
Use of a closed case.
Use of a security grate with suitable mesh opening according to EN 953:1993.
Use of a security switch (category 1) according to EN 954:1997 for shutting off the
motors power supply.

7.3 Ways of operation
7.3.1 Automation
The IFE-electronical precipitation engine can be connected to other devices
prepared for automatically control (e.g. in a modification centre) or
for external access via the master switch.
